Discover the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum Rising 108 feet above the sparkling waters of the Jupiter Inlet, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is one of Florida's most beloved landmarks — and one of its best-kept secrets for families looking for a truly unforgettable day out. Built in 1860 and still an active aid to navigation, this striking red-brick lighthouse has guided sailors safely along the Treasure Coast for more than 160 years. But it's more than just a historic beacon — it's a living, breathing adventure waiting to be explored. After ascending 105 steps, your family will be rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the lush natural landscape of Palm Beach County. Children must be at least 48 inches tall to make the climb — so little ones have something exciting to look forward to as they grow! Beyond the climb, the lighthouse sits within a beautiful 120-acre preserve home to native Florida wildlife, ancient Native American sites, and peaceful walking trails. Keep your eyes open — you might spot a manatee, dolphin, or great blue heron along the water's edge.

Families will find no shortage of things to do. Educational activities let kids learn about the lighthouse, local ecosystems, and Native American history. Home School at the lighthouse, story time and craft programs, school field trips, and hands-on educational experiences offer curriculum-connected adventures that make learning genuinely fun.

As a nonprofit, every ticket purchased directly supports the preservation of this irreplaceable piece of Florida history for generations to come. When you visit, you're not just making memories — you're helping protect a landmark that has stood watch over this coastline for more than 160 years. Open Tuesday through Sunday, the lighthouse is located in Jupiter, Florida. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are recommended for the climb, and the grounds are stroller-friendly for younger visitors.
