Movie night again and again can get old quickly. But thinking of new ideas can be tough! So the Zoo has got you covered to entertain your little wild ones. This is sure to move family night from the couch and into a new world. Rhythm in the Wild at Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society is your answer! This spring nighttime music series turns an after-hours zoo visit into the coolest family adventure your kids will talk about for weeks.
Imagine the kids dancing their hearts out to live bands while the sun sets, or racing to see tigers in the golden evening light, all while celebrating the extra time they have to stay up. They’ll be sure to thank you! This isn't just another event, it's the kind of magical night that reminds you why family time matters.
Why The Family Will Love It
Here's what makes this different from your usual Zoo trip: the entire Zoo is yours to explore after dark. Yes, the entire Zoo! And no one night will ever be the same. Every night feels completely different with plenty to do each time. You and the kids can bring chairs and enjoy a spot in the Splash Pad area to dance, play, and soak in the live music. Between songs, they can dash off to check out the animals settling in for the night, hear the stories of Zoo members exploring the wild, or explore the Mayan Plaza as it glows in the most beautiful hues and views.
Each evening features a band to bring live music right to you. So, whether you come once or return multiple times throughout February, your family will always have a fresh experience. From Chris Monteleone to The Currys to Leafy Greens, there's always a new soundtrack to your adventure.
The Bonus: Learning Made into Incredible Stories
While your kids are having the time of their lives, they'll encounter something special: real conservation stories and unexpected animal moments with the Zoo team. These aren't boring presentations (we promise). They're engaging experiences that happen naturally throughout the night. Your children might learn about jaguar conservation or discover fascinating facts about the axolotl they’re wildly obsessed with.
It's the kind of educational experience that doesn't feel boring, which is exactly what makes it stick.
Making it Happen
Now this one is important, logistics, because we know that matters. There’s all the packing and car loading to do, so we want to give you the chance to just show up (with a chair if you’d like). Food and drinks are available for purchase throughout the Zoo (you can even order ahead online to skip the lines). The whole atmosphere is relaxed and easygoing, so if your toddler needs to run around or your teen wants to explore independently while you enjoy the live music, it all works.
Rhythm in the Wild kicks off on February 13 and runs on select nights till the last curtain call on April 25, from 6 until 9 p.m. Rain or shine, the event goes on — though spring evenings in West Palm Beach are typically perfect.
Let the Rhythm Run Wild
In a world of endless screen time, Rhythm in the Wild gives your family something that’s one-of-a-kind: fresh air, live bands, animal encounters, and memories that last longer than the latest streaming series. It's active, engaging, and offers something for every age. Your preschooler can shake the night away, your elementary child can learn about conservation, your teenager can enjoy the music vibes, and you get to enjoy time to relax that still keeps the family together.
Planning a gathering? Group rates are available for parties of 15 or more, making this perfect for scout troops, playgroups, or extended family get-togethers.
Member tickets are on sale now, with non-member tickets available starting January 12. Visit palmbeachzoo.org/rhythm to snag your spot before your favorite date fills up.
Let the rhythm run wild, parents, they’ll remember this one for a long time to come.
