This holiday season, the Cox Science Center and Aquarium (CSCA) invites families to celebrate through festive programs and hands-on experiences. With interactive science activities, themed camps, winter events, and immersive exhibits, guests of all ages can explore the magic of the season while discovering the wonders of science.
“Science comes alive when it’s shared, and the holidays are a great time to come together with family and friends to discover something new,” said Carla Duhaney, COO of Cox Science Center and Aquarium. “At CSCA, we love creating moments that surprise, inspire, and show guests that science can be magical, meaningful, and fun all at once."
On December 19 at 6 p.m., Winter Lights and Bites invites families to celebrate the season with an evening of science and sparkle. Guests may enjoy winter-themed workshops, holiday crafts and vendors, food trucks, and dazzling light shows throughout the night. The event wraps up with a frosty finale as Elsa takes the stage at 7 p.m. for a musical story time and photo opportunity.
Families looking for a kid-friendly way to ring in the new year can join CSCA for Noon Year’s Eve on December 31 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This celebration features a mid-day countdown to 2026 complete with live science demonstrations, music and dancing, DIY confetti poppers, dry apple cider, and more.
Open through April 26, 2026, the “Top Secret: License to Spy” exhibit immerses guests in the hidden world of espionage. Guests of all ages can take on daring missions, crack codes, and test spy gadgets in a high-tech, James Bond-style adventure. With a personal spy file in hand, attendees can step into the role of a secret agent to solve a mysterious heist using science and stealth.
